On Monday, 2 August 2027, Luxor sits close to the centre line of the eclipse path and will see about 6 minutes and 22 seconds of totality, one of the longest total eclipses of the century. Here is how you will experience it.

Times are approximate for Luxor. Eye safety: never look at the Sun without your ISO 12312-2 & CE certified eclipse glasses. They may be removed only during totality, when the Sun is fully covered, and must go back on as soon as the light returns.

Morning: Arrival in Luxor, where our representative meets you and transfers you to your hotel.
Noon: Check-in and time to relax at the hotel.

Noon: Lunch and a relaxing break.
Afternoon: Continue to Luxor Temple, set right on the East Bank of the Nile and at its most atmospheric as the day fades.
Morning: A relaxed early morning at the hotel, then transfer to the exclusive 360° Panoramic Glass Lounge and settle into your reserved seat.
Late morning: Before the eclipse begins at around 11:40, enjoy an exclusive lecture by a distinguished VIP Egyptologist and archaeologist on the Sun in ancient Egyptian belief and what the darkening sky would have meant to the people of Thebes.

Morning: Cross to the West Bank and explore the legendary Valley of the Kings, burial place of many of Egypt's most famous pharaohs.
Noon: Lunch and a relaxing break.
Afternoon: Visit the Temple of Hatshepsut, one of Egypt's most distinctive monuments, built into the dramatic cliffs of Deir el-Bahari.
Morning: Visit Medinet Habu, the mortuary temple of Ramesses III and one of the best-preserved temple complexes on the West Bank.
Noon: Lunch and a relaxing break.
Afternoon: Continue to the Tombs of the Nobles for a vivid glimpse into the lives, traditions and daily routines of ancient Egyptian officials.
Early morning: After an early breakfast, drive south from Luxor to Aswan (about 3–3.5 hours) in a private air-conditioned vehicle, setting off early to enjoy the sights before the midday heat.
Morning: Stop at the High Dam, one of the great engineering projects of the 20th century, with sweeping views over Lake Nasser. Then take a short motorboat ride to Philae Temple, the island sanctuary of the goddess Isis, rescued from the rising Nile and rebuilt stone by stone on Agilkia Island.
Afternoon: Sail on to a colorful Nubian village, where you are welcomed into a local home for Nubian tea and a glimpse of a culture that has lived along the Nile for thousands of years.
Evening: Drive back to Luxor, arriving in the evening.
All day: A full day at leisure to relax by the pool, wander Luxor's markets and Corniche at your own pace, or simply enjoy the hotel after a busy week. Optional excursions, such as an early-morning hot-air balloon flight over the West Bank, can be arranged on request.
Morning: Breakfast at the hotel and check-out.
Noon: Transfer to Luxor Airport for your onward flight.
