If you're looking for an unforgettable travel experience where ancient history meets natural beauty and vibrant culture, Egypt is the perfect destination. Over 11 days, you can explore breathtaking historical landmarks, enjoy the Red Sea’s beauty, indulge in delicious cuisine, and immerse yourself in a history that spans thousands of years. Here’s my journey that changed my perspective on the world and how you can experience Egypt in the best way, too.

Day 1: Cairo: The Gateway to History
My journey started in Cairo, the city that never sleeps. After checking into my hotel and taking a short rest, I visited the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square, where I marveled at King Tutankhamun’s treasures and thousands of ancient artifacts. In the evening, I wandered through Al-Muizz Street, one of the oldest Islamic streets in the world, and enjoyed authentic Egyptian dishes like koshari and traditional coffee.
Day 2: The Pyramids of Giza & The Sphinx
A trip to Cairo wouldn’t be complete without visiting the Pyramids of Giza and the Great Sphinx. Standing before these ancient wonders left me in awe of the engineering skills of the ancient Egyptians. I even ventured inside the Great Pyramid of Khufu a once in a lifetime experience. In the evening, I attended the Sound & Light Show at the pyramids, bringing history to life in a spectacular way.
Day 3: Saqqara & Memphis
On my third day, I explored Saqqara, home to the Step Pyramid of Djose the first pyramid ever built. I then visited the ruins of Memphis, Egypt’s ancient capital, where I saw the colossal statue of Ramses II. It was like stepping back in time to the earliest dynasties.
Day 4: Alexandria: The Bride of the Mediterranean
I left Cairo for Alexandria, a stunning coastal city rich in history. I explored the Citadel of Qaitbay, visited the modern Bibliotheca Alexandrina, and strolled along the Corniche while savoring fresh seafood at a seaside restaurant.
Day 5: Luxor – A Night of Magic
Early in the morning, I flew to Luxor, where I visited the massive Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple. In the evening, I wandered through the local markets, picked up souvenirs, and enjoyed the magical sight of Luxor Temple illuminated at night, a breathtaking experience that made history come alive in a whole new way.
Day 6: Valley of the Kings & Southern Temples
I spent the day in the Valley of the Kings, exploring the tombs of legendary pharaohs like Tutankhamun and Ramses VI. Next, I visited the uniquely designed Temple of Hatshepsut and the grand Colossi of Memnon.
Days 7 & 8: Nile River Cruise: A Journey Through Time
Leaving Luxor, I embarked on a scenic Nile River cruise to Aswan. As the cruise glided along the Nile, I visited iconic temples such as Kom Ombo and Edfu, marveling at their fascinating carvings and historical significance. The relaxing pace of the cruise allowed me to soak in the beauty of the riverbanks, traditional villages, and stunning sunsets over the Nile. Arriving in Aswan, I explored the majestic Philae Temple and experienced the vibrant Nubian culture in the local markets.
Day 9 & 10: Hurghada: A Red Sea Paradise
I then headed to Hurghada for two days of pure relaxation by the Red Sea. I went snorkeling in the vibrant coral reefs, took a boat trip, and enjoyed the rich marine life.
Day 11: Back to Cairo & Farewell
Returning to Cairo for my final day, I explored the bustling Khan El Khalili bazaar, bought souvenirs, and enjoyed a farewell dinner at a traditional Egyptian restaurant.
A Journey to Remember
